2012 Strategic Focus Areas
2012 Strategic Focus Areas
1: Continued involvement in the NC Entrepreneurship and Innovation Alliance (since 2003) and an ongoing partnership with the NC Rural Center's Institute for Rural Entrepreneurship (since 2005). We will continue to support the coordination of entrepreneurship development assistance and collaboration among local entrepreneurs, community leaders, and service providers to (a) expand the pipeline of entrepreneurs, (b) improve service delivery, and (c) foster a supportive and inclusive policy and cultural environment.
2: Support entrepreneurs and community collaboratives to increase entrepreneurship, job creation, career pathways, and economic literacy. In 2012, we will focus on our existing relationships with entrepreneurs and community leaders that need the extra support to build capacity or are exploring new collaborations. We will share lessons learned with partners, community leaders, and policy advocates.
3: Strengthen the following skill-sets within Good Work’s network:
- Empowerment: Personal development for greater resilience, generosity, advocacy, and civic engagement
- Stewardship: Organizing and developing household, family, organizational, and community assets for greater self-reliance, resilience, and generosity
- Collaboration: Developing culturally appropriate partnerships that develop opportunities for further growth and development
